Personal collection from Majuba Hill, NV
Martin Jensen

I have decided to sell off the majority of my private collection of the best of my Majuba Hill mine (Nevada) specimens collected over a period of about 20 years. There are a total of 20 pieces, which are all of display quality. All pieces are miniature to hand specimen in size, all sit perfectly, all have been culled from many, many trips to this famous locality. They consist of mostly clinoclase, but there are also a few arthurites and strashimirites. These are some of the best found, and all are top quality. Please see my 2 articles in the Mineralogical Record over the years about the comprehensive mineralogy of this great locality

history of mineralogy / crystallography website
Paul Tambuyser

One year ago we started a website entitled: "Virtual Museum of the History of Mineralogy". The virtual museum is organized into 5 major categories of objects covering the history of mineralogy and crystallography in the pre x-ray diffraction era. The collections include:

• mineralogy and crystallography books (60)
• crystallographic goniometers (59)
• optical instruments (38)
• non-optical instruments (6)
• crystal models (10)

The figures between brackets represent the number of objects described in detail within each category. The total amounts to 173 items which is more than double compared to the start of our site one year ago. The virtual museum would not exist without the help of museums, institutes and collectors that are willing to participate in this project. We continue to encourage collectors and institutes to offer an active participation; we always appreciate receiving pictures and information to include in the collections. All further suggestions are gratefully appreciated.

If you want to be kept informed about the activities on our website feel free to subscribe to our e-mail newsletter.

Silver Ore Display Specimens North Idaho
Jim Sullivan

Hi!
I collect silver bearing material from the hills of Shoshone County, Idaho. I have a lot of beautiful material, from thumbnail to 20lbs, to trade with folks for material from where they're from. My material is fresh broken matrix with bright, sharp metal sulfides including: Galena, Argentiferous Galena, Pyrite, Chalcopyrite, Tetrahedrite, Arsenopyrite, Acanthite, and my very special find: Boulangerite needles on Siderite (one even has tiny Siderite rhombs impaled upon the Boulangerite needles). Please e-mail me. I don't have a website, but now and again I'll put some pieces on e-bay, or I might be able to e-mail you some pictures. There is no junk here, I've been working this spot for a while, and I am pulling out some nice pieces. They are a great addition to any collection, and from a place thats world renowned for its minerals, but there are not always a whole bunch available. You won't find huge crystals here, micros, yes, but this material has an incredibly high silver content, and they sparkle and shine like you won't believe. Drop me a line, I'm open to trade for whatever. I really look forward to making some new friends and seeing what you have in your backyard!

Fine mineral specimens
Matthew Webb

I have a variety of fine mineral specimens that I have for sale or trade.  I also have a DVD catalogue of the pieces which I can send anywhere in the world free of charge.

The pieces that are featured on the DVD catalogue include dioptase, fluorite, gem
crystals and opals.

I collect pieces from Thumbnail to large cabinet.  I collect worldwide mineral specimens from both contemporary and classic mineral localities.  I prefer colorful
minerals.  I also prefer things that are highly durable because I have had too many bad experiences with fragile minerals.

I travel to Tucson every year but am also able to travel at other times of the year.  I
am also interested in travelling to Europe any many localities in the world that are
actively producing fine minerals.

Kirk Stephan

I'm nearly retired and have way too much gem material to ever work myself. If you're looking for personally collected-from-around the world gem minerals that you normally wouldn't see elsewhere please look at photos/descriptions on my site. I have, I think, the lowest importer's prices available anywhere. Let me know if you don't think so! capn kirk
